4 SRO Championships in 2024
It’s always an impressive feat to win one championship in a year. But when a team collects two, you know they’re a force to be reckoned with.
Rotek Racing, founded by Robb Holland in 2012, certainly meets that definition. In 2024, Rotek drivers Holland and rookie Jaden Lander paired up to win the Pirelli GT4 America AM class, while Isaac Sherman, new to the GT4 class, grabbed titles at the GT America Series Powered by AWS.
Behind the wheels of their Cayman GT4 RS Porsches, Rotek Racing has now become the winningest team in GT America history.
Isaac Sherman’s path to the GT4 Drivers and Team Championships in the GT America series was no less impressive, locking up the wins even before the season’s end. With thirteen P1s and two additional podium finishes, Isaac was a standout throughout the year.
Despite a strong season, there were no guarantees for the Holland/Lander team going into the end of the 2024 stint, with the Rotek duo needing to finish at least P2 in their final race to take the championship. An unbelievable weekend in Indianapolis saw some close fights and opportunities to take advantage of openings, leading to a last lap lead and win.
Team principal Robb Holland enthuses “2024 was an amazing year for Rotek Racing. We took a big step forward with bringing two top amateur drivers into the pro ranks, and both of them succeeded far beyond expectations. But I also have to say that I am incredibly proud of the team we have formed to support our drivers. You don't win four championships and a few dozen races in one season without having one of the best, most complete teams on the grid. Even though Rotek was formed over a decade ago in Germany, the US division is barely four years old so to rise to the top so quickly is mind blowing.”
With 2024’s trophies safely in hand and the 2025 schedule for both GT America and Pirelli GT4 America set to kick off at the end of March at Sonoma Raceway, the Rotek Racing team has never been more fired up. The team is excited to build on their success and looks forward to the challenges ahead.
“We really have to thank Volker Holzmeyer and everyone at Porsche Motorsports for all of their continued support for our program and we're very much looking forward to even better things to come in the near future,” says Holland.
The team also offers deepest gratitude to Hella, FCP Euro, SuperCuts, Bell Helmets and OMP for all their support.
